About This Body

Evidence you can trust for midlife women, and the workplaces they lead.

This Body exists to make midlife clear, practical, and respected. We combine scientific literacy, coaching expertise, and leadership experience to support both individuals and organisations with structured, evidence-informed guidance.

Midlife health advice is often fragmented, trend-driven, or based on research that was never designed with women in mind. This Body was created to close that gap. We verify evidence, translate it into plain language, and connect it to practical action.

We support individual women navigating perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause. We also work with organisations that want workplaces designed for the workforce they actually have.

What This Body Is

Verification

We examine published research, assess study quality, and make uncertainty visible. Where evidence is strong, we say so. Where it is mixed or limited, we say that too.

Translation

Scientific findings are explained clearly and in context, without exaggeration or oversimplification. You should not need specialist training to understand what affects your body.

Application

Insight becomes useful only when it connects to real life. Every topic links back to practical, stage-aware strategies that respect physiology, recovery, and lived experience.

Who We Serve

For Individuals

Understand what is happening in your body. Navigate hormonal change with clarity. Apply evidence-informed strategies across the six pillars of the This Body Framework without chasing trends or quick fixes.

For Organisations

Provide scientifically accurate education. Equip managers with practical tools. Design policies and cultures that reflect the physiological realities of midlife women. This is workplace design grounded in evidence, not a wellness trend.

Founder

Dr. Eileen Weadick, founder of This Body

Dr. Eileen Weadick, PhD

This Body was founded by Dr. Eileen Weadick (PhD).

The project became personal following a breast cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment. The medication she was prescribed blocked oestrogen in her body leaving her with perimenopausal/menopausal symptoms. Her sleep became disrupted. She began to experience joint pain, heart palpitations and metabolic changes that made her body feel unfamiliar and harder to predict. That experience exposed how hard it is to find guidance she could actually trust, information that is accurate, relevant to her stage of life, and clear about what truly applies.

Eileen was in a unique position to respond to that problem. Her PhD in Experimental Physics provided the academic and scientific training required to evaluate evidence properly, question assumptions, and trace claims back to what the research actually shows. Rather than settling for surface-level explanations, she approached the problem with the discipline of a scientist: define the question, test the evidence, and make uncertainty visible.

Alongside that scientific foundation, she is a certified menopause coaching specialist and a qualified Level 6 personal trainer / fitness instructor. This combination makes it possible to translate complex research into stage-aware, practical guidance that works in real life, not just in theory.

For more than fifteen years she has also worked in entrepreneurship and business leadership, including serving as a Managing Director in the private sector and working across multinational and not-for-profit environments. That experience shaped how This Body is built: structured, accountable, and designed to operate at professional standards for both individuals and organisations.

This Body began as a search for answers and evolved into a platform committed to clarity, evidence, and practical application.

What We Are Building

This Body is building a platform where people can rely on what they read. A place designed for clarity, not confusion. Everything is structured so readers can understand what is known, what is uncertain, and what is practical to apply in real life.

We organise the work through the This Body Framework, six connected pillars that reflect how midlife physiology shows up across energy, sleep, metabolism, cognition, training response, recovery, and work life. It is a navigation system for a changing body, not a stream of disconnected tips.

For individuals, this means confidence and direction without guesswork. For organisations, it means credible education and practical workplace design guidance grounded in evidence, not trends. The standard is simple: accuracy first, transparent sourcing, and information people can use.
